We accept dogs from the ages of 5 months to 10 years with no breed restrictions!

All dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations to participate in our programs. Here is a list of the vaccinations we require: Distemper/Parvo Rabies Bordetella

Balanced dog training is a method that uses a combination of positive reinforcement and correction to modify a dog's behavior. The goal is to achieve a well-behaved dog that can live harmoniously with their owners and other pets. Positive reinforcement involves rewarding the dog for good behavior while correction involves correcting undesirable behavior. The balance between the two methods is key to achieving a well-trained and happy dog. At The Canine Homestead, we believe that every dog is unique and requires a customized training plan that fits their personality and needs.

Our board and train programs are covered under our limited Lifetime guarantee. Our limited lifetime guarantee is exactly what it sounds like: For the life of your pup. After your dog completes our 10 or 20 day board and train program, you will have the support of the Canine Homestead team for the lifetime of your dog.

There are two collar options for our board and train programs: Pager and E-Collar. Our standard training packages come with the mini-educator from E-collar technologies. For more sensitive dogs who do not respond well to the mini-educator, a pager will be used.

Each dog gets three 30 minute sessions each day they are in our program. In addition, they also get 4-5 breaks per day for potty and play!

Rescue Discount 10 day board and train We offer a $100 discount to newly adopted rescue dogs from partner shelters. In addition, we will make a $100 supply donation to the partnering shelter in your dog's name. 20 day board and train We offer a $200 discount to newly adopted rescue dogs from partner shelters, with a $200 supply donation to the partnering shelter in your dog's name. Multiple dog discount If you have more than one dog, we offer 10% the total cost of the training program for each of your dogs.
